Draftstack Composite 2025 NBA Draft Big Board
With the NCAA Tournament right around the corner, seven of Draftstack's evaluators came together to share their big boards. Here's where we stand on 2025's impressive field of draft prospects.
Just like that, March Madness is here. And with the Tournament on the horizon, that also means the NBA Draft Combine and Lottery are two short months away, and the Draft itself is less than four months away. In other words: big board and mock draft season are finally upon us and the class’ best prospects will soon begin cementing their positions.
In light of the most exciting next few months of the draft cycle kicking off, seven of Draftstack’s evaluators put their individual big boards together to create our first Composite Big Board of the season.
Draftstack is BACK with video content! Check out our video scouting report on Khaman Maluach, one of the most exciting international prospects in recent memory! Check it out below!
So, without wasting any more time, here’s what you need to know going into our board:
The results of this board are as of February 24th—when the last of our individual big boards was submitted.
Statistics are as of March 10.
Each player’s position on the composite big board was determined by averaging their position on our seven evaluators’ individual boards.
Due to sheer volatility and the number of unknowns at this point in the cycle, this iteration of the composite board will only include our top 30 players, the next ten players “on the cusp,” and our most agreed-upon and controversial selections.
“And with the first pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, the Draftstack team selects…”

Draftstack’s Most Agreed-Upon & Most Controversial Prospects
Beyond figuring out the order of our composite board, this is where we had a bit of fun with the numbers. By calculating the standard deviation of each player’s data set—essentially a measurement of how spread out a set of data points are compared to their mean (average)—we were able to roughly estimate which players the seven of us agreed on the most and which players we disagreed on the most. A lower standard deviation indicated that our individual rankings of each player were close to the average. A high standard deviation indicated our individual rankings were farther away from the mean (and generally, each other as well).
By looking at the numbers, our top five players—Cooper Flagg, Dylan Harper, Ace Bailey, VJ Edgecombe, and Kasparas Jakucionis—very easily scored the lowest standard deviation of all players calculated, meaning we had a clear, consensus top five. So, to make this a bit more fun, we won’t include those players below in our “most agreed-upon” players.
Most agreed-upon players in the first round, outside of the top 5
Khaman Maluach
Derik Queen
Liam McNeeley
Jeremiah Fears
Nolan Traore
Most controversial players in the first round
Rasheer Fleming
Nique Clifford
Jase Richardson
Danny Wolf
Ben Saraf
Most controversial players outside of the top 30
For a touch of clarity on this group, none of these players scored an average high enough to make it in our top 30, but out of all the players outside of our top 30, they scored the highest standard deviation. In other words, at least one, if not a few of us were far higher on the following players than the rest of us.
Joson Sanon
Isaiah Evans
Yaxel Lendeborg
(Note: Lendeborg was the only player in this short list not in our top 30 or our list of “on-the-cusp” players. His highest individual grade was 13, while his lowest was outside the top 60.)
Flory Bidunga
Boogie Fland
Jase Richardson is going to continue to rise, good player.
