It’s difficult to deny that college basketball’s modern ecosystem does not promote loyalty. No matter what your opinions are regarding the transfer portal, it’s understood that seeing a player remain with one program throughout their entire career is no longer the expectation. That’s why Oregon center Nate Bittle is so unique, as he has stuck beside the Ducks throughout his roller coaster college career. Despite dealing with an inconsistent role for two seasons and missing his entire junior campaign, the former five-star recruit in the 2021 graduating class has proven that patience does, indeed, pay off.
